Target Information
Vinculin (VCL)은 세포-세포 및 세포-세포외기질 접착 부위(adherens junction)에 관련된 세포골격 단백질입니다. 이 단백질은 F-actin을 막에 고정시키는 여러 상호작용 단백질 중 하나로 작용합니다. Integrin의 β 서브유닛은 talin에 결합하고, talin은 vinculin에 결합하여 α-actinin과 상호작용합니다. α-actinin은 actin 필라멘트를 교차 결합하므로 vinculin은 세포외기질과 세포질 미세필라멘트 시스템을 연결하는 핵심 요소로 작용합니다.
VCL 유전자 변이는 확장성 심근병증 1W형 또는 가족성 비후성 심근병증 15형을 유발할 수 있습니다.
