Target Information
Neuron specific enolase (NSE, ENO1, ENO2, ENO3)는 해당과정에서 2-phosphoglycerate를 phosphoenolpyruvate로 변환시키는 효소로, 신경 손상 시 세포외 및 뇌척수액으로 쉽게 확산됩니다.
NSE는 신경 및 신경내분비 세포에서 주로 발현되며, neuroendocrine neoplasms에서 chromogranin A와 함께 공발현됩니다.
NSE 항체는 신경세포체, 신경발생 세포계, 신경내분비 세포를 식별하는 데 유용하며, 손상된 신경으로부터 방출된 NSE는 뇌손상 바이오마커로 사용됩니다.
임상적으로 NSE는 뇌졸중, 저산소성 뇌손상, 간질지속상태, 크로이츠펠트-야콥병, 헤르페스성 뇌염 등 다양한 신경학적 질환에서 신경 손상의 민감한 마커로 활용됩니다. 또한 소아 신경모세포종 및 소세포폐암 등 특정 종양에서 혈장 내 농도가 상승합니다.
