Target Information
PIK3CG (p110 gamma)는 class IB phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase 패밀리의 유일한 멤버로, class IA family와 함께 중요한 second messenger인 PIP2를 생성합니다. Class IA 효소가 receptor tyrosine kinase 하류에서 신호를 전달하는 반면, PIK3CG는 주로 GPCR 하류에서 신호를 전달합니다. 이 효소는 inositol ring의 3-hydroxyl group에서 phosphoinositides를 인산화하며, E-cadherin 매개 세포-세포 접착에 의해 유도되는 세포 외 신호의 중요한 조절자로 작용합니다. 또한 NK 세포의 세포독성 조절에도 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 이 유전자는 과거 골수성 백혈병에서 확인된 염색체 7의 결손 영역 내에 위치합니다.
