Product Specific Information
The 11-44-2 monoclonal antibody reacts with the alpha heavy chain of mouse IgA and does not cross-react with other mouse immunoglobulin classes (IgD, IgG, IgM). IgA exists in both membrane-bound and soluble dimeric forms.
Biotin-conjugated 11-44-2 can be used as a detection secondary antibody for mouse IgA.
Validated for flow cytometric analysis, typically used at ≤1 µg/test in 100 µL final volume.
Cell count per test may vary (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test) and should be empirically determined.
Careful titration is recommended for optimal assay performance.
Target Information
Mouse IgA is produced by B cells and is a key component of the mucosal immune system, protecting against pathogens entering via respiratory, gastrointestinal, and urogenital tracts.
It consists of two heavy and two light chains and is the most abundant immunoglobulin in mucosal secretions.
Mouse IgA plays an essential role in neutralizing pathogens and preventing their adhesion to mucosal surfaces.
Widely used in ELISA, Western blot, and immunohistochemistry research applications.
