Product Specific Information
The MIH1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human B7-H1 (PD-L1), a member of the B7 family with a predicted molecular weight of approximately 40 kDa. B7-H1 is expressed on a majority of leukocytes and acts as a ligand for PD-1. Interaction of PD-1 with PD-L1 (B7-H1) or PD-L2 (B7-DC) inhibits T and B cell responses. MIH1 is reported to be a blocking antibody.
Applications Reported: Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested in flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended ≤0.5 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number may range from 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Titrate for optimal performance.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
Programmed death receptor ligand 1 (PD-L1, B7-H1) is a B7 family member that binds to PD-1, negatively regulating T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling. PD-L1 ligation decreases TCR-mediated proliferation and cytokine production. PD-L1 expression is abundant in murine and human cancers and can be upregulated by IFN-γ stimulation, suggesting its role in tumor immune evasion.
