Adgrl1 (Latrophilin-1)은 α-latrotoxin(검은과부거미 독소)에 대한 고친화성 칼슘 비의존성 수용체로, 신경세포 및 내분비세포의 대량 분비(exocytosis)를 유도합니다. Adgrl1은 TENM2와 결합하여 시냅스 세포 간 접촉과 시냅스 후 특이화를 매개하며, 배출 조절에 관여할 수 있습니다.
이 유전자는 G-단백질 결합 수용체(GPCR) 계열의 latrophilin 하위군 구성원으로, 세포 부착 및 신호전달 기능을 모두 수행할 수 있습니다. 비인간 종 실험에서 GPS(G-protein-coupled-receptor proteolysis site) 영역 내 자가 단백질 분해로 인해 두 개의 비공유 결합된 소단위체로 분리됨이 확인되었습니다.
