Product Specific Information
Reconstitute the lyophilized powder with deionized water (or equivalent) to an antibody concentration of 0.5 mg/mL.
Histone H3 is a core component of the nucleosome. It wraps and compacts DNA into chromatin, limiting DNA accessibility to cellular machineries that require DNA as a template. Histones play a central role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, DNA replication, and chromosomal stability. DNA accessibility is regulated via post-translational modifications of histones, also called the histone code, and nucleosome remodeling.
This Rabbit Anti-Histone H3 Polyclonal Antibody is developed using a KLH-coupled synthetic peptide from the C-terminal of human Histone H3 (Swiss Prot: P68431).
Target Information
Histone H3 is one of the DNA-binding proteins found in the chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. Together with other core histones, it binds DNA forming the nucleosome structure. Histones are crucial for transcription regulation, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability.
The N-terminal tail of Histone H3 protrudes from the nucleosome core and undergoes various post-translational modifications that influence cellular processes. These modifications include methylation or acetylation of lysine and arginine residues and phosphorylation of serine or threonine.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
