• For immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
• Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Target Information

Prolactin (PRL) is a pituitary hormone involved in the stimulation of milk production, salt and water regulation, growth, development, and reproduction. PRL exerts its influence through a signal transduction pathway initiated by binding to the transmembrane PRL receptor (PRLR). The PRLR, a member of the cytokine receptor family, exists in short and long forms (40–100 kDa) depending on tissue source and species. It comprises three domains: an extracellular region containing the prolactin-binding site, a single transmembrane domain, and a cytoplasmic region that influences ligand binding and cellular function.
