Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature (RT).
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.

Prolactin (PRL) is a pituitary hormone involved in milk production, salt and water regulation, growth, development, and reproduction.
PRL acts via the transmembrane prolactin receptor (PRLR), a cytokine receptor family member.
Immunoreactive PRLR varies in size (~40–100 kDa) depending on tissue and species.
PRLR has three domains:
- Extracellular region with 5 cysteines and prolactin binding site
- Single transmembrane domain
- Cytoplasmic region influencing ligand binding and cellular function
