Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Members of the Id family of basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) proteins include ID1, ID2, ID3, and ID4. These proteins are ubiquitously expressed and form heterodimers with class A and B HLH proteins. Due to the absence of the basic region, the heterodimers cannot bind DNA, thereby negatively regulating DNA binding of bHLH proteins.
ID-type proteins inhibit muscle-specific gene expression by blocking E12 and Myo D DNA binding. During muscle differentiation, ID protein levels decrease, enabling E12/E47 to activate myogenic differentiation. Expression of ID proteins is growth factor-dependent, and reduction of ID mRNA via antisense oligonucleotides delays cell cycle reentry after growth factor stimulation.
