Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human gAcrp30/Adipolean Variant. The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography using an immobilized Human gAcrp30/Adipolean Variant matrix.

Sandwich ELISA:
For detection of Human gAcrp30/Adipolean Variant by sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well antibody solution), use 0.5–2.0 µg/mL of this antibody. When paired with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human gAcrp30/Adipolean Variant (500-P205Bt) as a detection antibody, the assay can detect at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human gAcrp30/Adipolean Variant.

Western Blot:
For detection of Human gAcrp30/Adipolean Variant by Western Blot, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL of this antibody. Detection limit is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions, when used with compatible secondary reagents.

Target Information

The gAcrp30 variant is a naturally occurring globular protein derived from proteolytic processing of adiponectin. Adiponectin is secreted exclusively by adipocytes and constitutes approximately 0.05% of total serum protein. Like adiponectin, Acrp30 decreases hyperglycemia and reverses insulin resistance. It also promotes fat loss by signaling muscle cells to absorb and oxidize free fatty acids (FFAs). The signaling receptors AdipoR1 and AdipoR2 mediate these effects, with AdipoR2 predominantly expressed in the liver.
This naturally occurring human gAcrp30/Adipolean variant is an 18.1 kDa protein containing 14 extra amino acids at the N-terminus.
