Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human gAcrp30/Adipolean Variant. Anti-Human gAcrp30/Adipolean Variant specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect hAdipolean Variant by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required.
This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human Adipolean Variant (500-P205) as a capture antibody, allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hAdipolean Variant.

Western Blot:
To detect Human Adipolean Variant by Western blot analysis, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL.
With compatible secondary reagents, detection limit for Recombinant Human Adipolean is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

The gAcrp30 variant is a naturally occurring globular protein obtained by proteolytic processing of adiponectin.
Adiponectin is produced and secreted exclusively by adipocytes and is a relatively abundant plasma protein, accounting for up to 0.05% of total serum protein.
Like adiponectin, Acrp30 decreases hyperglycemia and reverses insulin resistance.
Additionally, gAcrp30 promotes fat loss by signaling muscle to absorb and burn free fatty acids (FFAs).
The signaling receptors for adiponectin and gAcrp30, AdipoR1 and AdipoR2, have been identified; AdipoR2 is predominantly expressed in the liver.
This variant of human gAcrp30/Adipolean is an 18.1 kDa protein containing 14 extra amino acids at the N-terminus of human gAcrp30/Adipolean.
