Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human Follistatin. Anti-Human Follistatin-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human Follistatin by sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well), use 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody. In conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human Follistatin (500-P207) as a capture antibody, detection limit is 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human Follistatin.

Western Blot:
For detection by Western Blot, use 0.1–0.2 mg/mL. Detection limit is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

Follistatin is a single-chain gonadal protein that specifically inhibits follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) release. The single FST gene encodes two isoforms, FST317 and FST344, containing 317 and 344 amino acids respectively, resulting from alternative splicing of the precursor mRNA. Studies have shown linkage between PCOS and follistatin.
