Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells respond to thermal and chemical stress by inducing heat shock genes.
In eukaryotes, heat shock transcription factors (HSF1 and HSF2) regulate this gene expression at the transcriptional level.
HSF1 and HSF2 are upregulated by estrogen at both mRNA and protein levels.
HSF1 is normally a monomer repressed by phosphorylation, but upon activation forms trimers, binds DNA, and translocates to the nucleus.
HSF2 is associated with differentiation and development, and binds DNA as a trimer.
Both HSF1 and HSF2 can be induced by proteasome inhibitors of the ubiquitin pathway.
