Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and expressed, and the best clones are selected for production.

Target Information
Keratins 6 and 16 are expressed in keratinocytes undergoing rapid turnover in the suprabasal region, often referred to as hyperproliferation-related keratins.
Keratin 6 is found in:
- Hair follicles
- Suprabasal cells of internal stratified epithelia
- Epidermis (normal and hyperproliferative conditions)
Epidermal injury induces keratinocytes to express CK6 and CK16. CK6 is strongly expressed in about 75% of head and neck squamous cell carcinomas and is associated with differentiation.
