Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to reach a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Insulin-like growth factor-II messenger RNA (mRNA)-binding protein-3 (IMP-3), also known as K homology domain-containing protein overexpressed in cancer (KOC) and L523S, belongs to the insulin-like growth factor-II mRNA-binding protein family.
IMP-3 is expressed during embryogenesis and in certain malignancies. It is detected in malignant melanoma but not in benign nevi, even those with dysplastic features. IMP-3 expression is significantly higher in melanomas than in Spitz nevi and more abundant in metastatic melanomas compared to thin melanomas.
These findings suggest that IMP-3 is involved in melanoma progression and may play a key role in regulating tumor behavior.
