For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Peroxiredoxin (Prx) is a peroxidase family involved in cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. Mammalian Prx proteins (six members) are categorized into typical 2-Cys, atypical 2-Cys, and 1-Cys Prx groups.

• Prx I, II, VI: Cytosolic localization
• Prx III: Mitochondrial localization
• Prx IV: ER and secretion
• Prx V: Found in peroxisome, mitochondria, and cytosol

These proteins exhibit thioredoxin-dependent peroxidase activity using thioredoxin, thioredoxin reductase, and NADPH as reducing systems. Molecular size ranges from 20–30 kDa.
