Antibody detects endogenous levels of total HLA-DRB3.

Target Information

Major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II molecules destined for presentation to CD4+ helper T cells are regulated by the dissociation of class II-associated invariant chain peptides (CLIP) and subsequent peptide antigen binding mediated by HLA-DM and -DO. These molecules accumulate in endosomal/lysosomal compartments and on B cell surfaces, facilitating peptide exchange for HLA class II molecules (HLA-DR, -DQ, -DP).

RFLP analysis of HLA-DM genes from rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients suggests certain polymorphisms may contribute to RA susceptibility. HLA-B belongs to the HLA class I heavy chain paralogs, which play a central role in antigen presentation. HLA-B and -C form heterodimers with β2-microglobulin, and exhibit extensive polymorphism.

HLA and MHC antibodies are essential tools in Immunopeptidomics, aiding in the identification and characterization of neoantigens through LC-MS/MS analysis.
