Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of Acetyl-NF-kappaB p65 only when acetylated at Lys310.
Target Information
Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF-kB p65) is encoded by the RELA gene and located on chromosome 11 in humans. NF-kB p65, also known as RelA, belongs to the Rel family of proteins. It forms heterodimers with subunits p50 or p52 to constitute NF-kB (Nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells). Binding of TNF alpha to its receptor activates IKK, leading to phosphorylation and degradation of I kB, thus releasing NF-kB to translocate into the nucleus. NF-kB p65 plays a critical role in transcription of the immunoglobulin kappa gene in mature B-lymphoid cells.
