Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information

This gene encodes a major catalytic subunit of succinate-ubiquinone oxidoreductase, a complex of the mitochondrial respiratory chain. The complex consists of four nuclear-encoded subunits and is localized in the mitochondrial inner membrane.
Mutations in this gene are associated with mitochondrial respiratory chain deficiency, known as Leigh Syndrome. A pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 3q29.
