Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human MMP-3. Anti-Human MMP-3-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human MMP-3 by sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well), use 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody. When used with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human MMP-3 (500-P324) as a capture antibody, it allows detection of at least 2000–4000 pg/mL of Recombinant Human MMP-3.

Western Blot:
To detect Human MMP-3 by Western blot, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL of this antibody. Detection limit for Recombinant Human MMP-3 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

MMP3 (stromelysin-1) belongs to the peptidase M10A subfamily. It is secreted in its pro-protein form and activated by extracellular proteinase cleavage. MMP3 binds zinc and calcium ions and exhibits metallo-endopeptidase activity. The active enzyme degrades collagen, gelatin, fibronectin, and laminin, and is involved in wound repair and tissue remodeling. Mutations in this gene are associated with coronary heart disease 6.
