Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge if not clear after standing at room temperature. Stable for several weeks at 4°C as undiluted liquid. Dilute only before immediate use.
Reacts specifically with human MEK2. Cross-reactivity expected with human, mouse, and rat based on sequence identity of the peptide immunogen. Does not react with MEK1 isoform.
Target Information
MAP2K2 (MEK2) is a dual specificity serine/threonine kinase involved in mitogen growth factor signal transduction. MEK2 activates ERK1/2 and MAPK enzymes by phosphorylating threonine/glutamate/tyrosine residues in the activation loop. MEK1 and MEK2 are activated by dual phosphorylation on serine 218 and 222. Threonine 292 of MEK1 is phosphorylated by ERK2, serving as a negative feedback mechanism.
