Rat anti-Mouse CD204 antibody, clone 2F8 recognizes the murine scavenger receptor class A (SRA), types I and II, also known as CD204.
Target Information
CD204 gene encodes class A macrophage scavenger receptors (types 1, 2, 3) generated by alternative splicing. These macrophage-specific trimeric integral membrane glycoproteins are involved in processes such as atherosclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, and host defense.
Types 1 and 2 mediate endocytosis of modified LDLs, while type 3 is trapped in the endoplasmic reticulum and acts as a dominant negative regulator of receptor activity.
Diseases associated with MSR1 include Barrett Esophagus and Prostate Cancer.
