Product Specific Information
- Epitope recognized by 2A11 is sensitive to H₂O₂; quenching with 0.3% H₂O₂ should be performed after incubation with the primary antibody.
- The epitope is also sensitive to formaldehyde fixation and tissue processing; acetone fixation is recommended for frozen sections.
- For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10⁶ cells in 100 µL.
- Rat anti-Mouse Dectin-1 antibody, clone 2A11, recognizes the murine beta-glucan receptor (Dectin-1).
Target Information
CLEC7A (Dectin-1) is a member of the C-type lectin/C-type lectin-like domain (CTL/CTLD) superfamily, predominantly expressed on myeloid cells. It is a type II membrane glycoprotein receptor with an extracellular C-type lectin-like domain and a cytoplasmic ITAM motif.
CLEC7A functions as a pattern-recognition receptor that detects β-1,3 and β-1,6-linked glucans from fungi and plants, contributing to innate immune responses. Upon fungal exposure, CLEC7A activates Syk tyrosine kinase, leading to reactive oxygen species formation and oxidative burst.
