Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
In humans, ZIM2 and PEG3 are distinct genes that share multiple 5′ exons and a common promoter, both being paternally expressed. Alternative splicing connects the shared exons with unique exons of each gene.
In other mammals, ZIM2 is not imprinted, and the two genes do not share exons.
Human PEG3 protein belongs to the Kruppel C2H2-type zinc finger protein family and may play roles in cell proliferation and p53-mediated apoptosis. PEG3 exhibits tumor suppressor activity in glioma and ovarian cells.
Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms.
