Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba™ Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
In humans, ZIM2 and PEG3 are distinct genes sharing multiple 5′ exons and a common promoter, both paternally expressed. Alternative splicing connects shared 5′ exons either with ZIM2-specific or PEG3-specific exons. In other mammals, ZIM2 is not imprinted and does not share exons with PEG3.
Human PEG3 protein belongs to the Kruppel C2H2-type zinc finger protein family, potentially involved in cell proliferation and p53-mediated apoptosis. PEG3 exhibits tumor suppressor activity and has been implicated in glioma and ovarian cancer.
Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms.
