Product Specific Information
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining, using a 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
After antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 10 minutes at room temperature.
A suggested positive control is placenta tissue.
Target Information
Glucose is fundamental to the metabolism of mammalian cells. Several glucose transporter protein (GLUT) isoforms have been identified and shown to function in response to insulin and IGF1 signaling.
GLUT3 is detectable in normal cell types such as spermatids in testis with active spermatogenesis, placental trophoblast membranes, and neurons in the brain.
GLUT3 staining is also detectable in human cancers including ovary, lung, and testis.
