Product Specific Information
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining using a 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
After antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
Suggested positive controls include skin, breast, prostate, or mesothelioma tissues.
Target Information
Cytokeratin pan is part of a subfamily of intermediate filament proteins characterized by biochemical diversity, represented in human epithelial tissues by at least 20 different polypeptides.
Cytokeratins range in molecular weight between 40–68 kDa and have an isoelectric pH between 4.9–7.8.
They are numbered 1–20 and their expression patterns vary by epithelial type, maturation, and differentiation stage.
Cytokeratin subtype expression patterns are valuable for distinguishing epithelial malignancies and are used in immunohistochemistry, cytopathology, and flow cytometry.
Keratins serve as important markers in cancer research and tumor diagnosis.
