Target Information
AKAP8L may play a role in constitutive transport element (CTE)-mediated gene expression by association with DHX9 and increase CTE-dependent nuclear unspliced mRNA export. It is proposed to target PRKACA to the nucleus and may be involved in nuclear envelope breakdown, chromatin condensation, and anchoring nuclear membranes to chromatin during cell cycle progression. It also regulates histone deacetylation during mitosis by recruiting HDAC3 and may participate in pre-mRNA splicing.
