Target Information

AKAP8L (A-kinase anchor protein 8-like, also known as HA95) may play a role in constitutive transport element (CTE)-mediated gene expression by association with DHX9 and in CTE-dependent nuclear unspliced mRNA export. It is proposed to target PRKACA to the nucleus and may be involved in nuclear envelope breakdown, chromatin condensation, and anchoring nuclear membranes to chromatin during interphase. AKAP8L is implicated in regulation of DNA replication initiation, cell cycle G2/M transition, histone deacetylation during mitosis, and pre-mRNA splicing.
