Target Information
AKAP8L (A kinase anchor protein 8-like) may play a role in CTE-mediated gene expression by association with DHX9 and in nuclear mRNA export. It is proposed to target PRKACA to the nucleus and may be involved in nuclear envelope breakdown, chromatin condensation, and DNA replication initiation. AKAP8L participates in cell cycle G2/M transition and histone deacetylation during mitosis, recruiting HDAC3 for histone H3 modification. It may also regulate pre-mRNA splicing. [UniProt]
