Target Information
GIPR은 gastric inhibitory polypeptide (GIP)에 대한 G-단백질 결합 수용체를 암호화합니다.
GIP는 위산 분비와 gastrin 방출을 억제하는 활성을 가진 장 추출물에서 처음 발견되었으며, 이후 높은 포도당 농도에서 인슐린 분비를 자극하는 것으로 밝혀졌습니다.
이 유전자가 결핍된 마우스는 경구 포도당 부하 후 초기 인슐린 반응이 저하되어 혈당이 상승하는 특징을 보입니다.
따라서 GIPR 유전자의 결함은 당뇨병의 발병에 기여할 수 있습니다.
