Target Information
Connexin 43 (Cx43)는 갭 정션 단백질 패밀리에 속하는 단백질로, 헥사머 형태로 조립되어 세포막으로 이동한 뒤 인접 세포의 헴채널과 결합해 세포 간 통로를 형성합니다. 이러한 갭 정션은 세포 간 신호 전달과 성장 조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
Cx43의 인산화는 갭 정션의 조립 및 기능 조절에 필수적이며, 단백질 키나아제 C(PKC)에 의해 Ser368 위치가 인산화되면 세포 간 통신이 감소합니다. Src 단백질 역시 Cx43을 인산화하여 통신을 조절할 수 있습니다.
Connexin 43은 심장 갭 정션의 주요 단백질로, 심근 수축의 동기화 및 배아 발달에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 또한 여러 단백질 키나아제에 의해 조절되며, 관련된 인트론이 없는 유사유전자 GJA1P는 염색체 5번에 위치합니다.
GFAP 유전자 변이는 Charcot-Marie-Tooth 질환, 안이치아수지이형증(oculodentodigital dysplasia), 심장 기형 등과 관련이 있습니다. GFAP의 대체 스플라이싱 전사체도 보고되었습니다.
