Target Information
GIPR는 위 억제 펩타이드(GIP)에 대한 G-단백질 결합 수용체를 암호화합니다. GIP는 위산 분비 및 가스트린 분비를 억제하는 역할로 처음 알려졌으나, 이후 고혈당 상태에서 인슐린 분비를 촉진하는 기능이 확인되었습니다.
이 유전자가 결핍된 마우스는 경구 포도당 부하 후 초기 인슐린 반응이 손상되고 혈당 수치가 높게 유지됩니다. 따라서 GIPR의 결함은 당뇨병 병태생리에 기여할 수 있습니다.
