Product Specific Information
Carrier-Free
- Reconstitution: Briefly centrifuge vial before opening. Reconstitute in sterile distilled water to 0.1–1.0 mg/mL. Do not vortex.
Store at 2–8°C for up to 1 week. For long-term storage, dilute in buffer containing 0.1% BSA and store aliquots at -20°C to -80°C. - Storage: Lyophilized protein stable at room temperature for 1 month; store at -20°C for long-term.
Working aliquots with carrier protein stable for ≥3 months at -20°C to -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Target Information
BAFF is a membrane-bound cytokine expressed by B cell lineage cells.
The soluble form binds to receptors TNFRSF13B/TACI, TNFRSF17/BCMA, and TNFRSF13C/BAFFR.
BAFF acts as a potent B cell activator, essential for proliferation and differentiation of B cells.
It is also expressed by T lymphocytes and promotes T cell activation and survival.
Isoforms representing alternatively spliced and glycosylated variants have been identified.
