Target Information
MDM2 단백질은 p53 단백질 안정성의 주요 조절자입니다. MDMX(MDM4)는 MDM2 관련 단백질로, MDM2 매개 p53 분해를 억제합니다. MDMX 유전자는 악성 교모세포종에서 증폭되는 표적 중 하나로 알려져 있습니다.
ARF는 MDMX를 핵소체 내에 격리시켜 p53 전사활성을 증가시킵니다. 또한 MDMX 발현은 MDM2에 의한 p53 분해를 억제하면서 p53 전사활성을 억제할 수 있습니다.
MDMX는 p73과 결합하여 p73의 안정성을 높이며, 이는 p53과 대조적인 작용을 보입니다.
