Product Specific Information
- For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
- For conjugation experiments, perform additional desalting (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The MDM2 protein is the primary regulator of p53 protein stability. MDMX (also designated MDM4) inhibits MDM2-mediated degradation of p53 via distinct associations with MDM2. The MDMX gene is often amplified in malignant gliomas. ARF interacts with MDMX to sequester it within the nucleolus, increasing p53 transactivation. MDMX can reverse MDM2-targeted degradation of p53 while maintaining suppression of p53 transactivation. Additionally, MDMX binds and stabilizes p73, increasing its half-life.
