Takara Lenti-X Provirus Quantitation Kit

The Lenti-X Provirus Quantitation Kit enables rapid and accurate determination of the copy number of integrated lentiviruses (proviruses) within mixed or clonal populations of transduced cells.
This kit includes a genomic DNA purification kit and all reagents necessary to perform 200 TB Green-based qPCR reactions using either a calibrated control template or purified cellular genomic DNA.

Determine Precise Effective Lentivirus Titers

By quantifying the number of lentiviruses integrated into the nuclear DNA of target cells, you can precisely determine the real (effective) titer of your lentiviral supernatant stock.
This information allows you to:

• Infect cells with greater precision and a well-defined MOI (multiplicity of infection)
• Predict the number of viral genomes integrated into your cells
• Calibrate other titration methods that measure viral content in packaging-cell supernatants but not functional integrative titers in target cells

Predictable and Consistent Lentiviral Transgene Expression

When using lentiviral vectors for transgene delivery, expression levels increase with higher MOI due to more integrated copies in the nuclear DNA.
However, effective MOI can vary widely across different cell lines due to differences in susceptibility to lentiviral infection.
The Lenti-X Provirus Quantitation Kit allows assessment of transduction efficiency in any cell line, independent of expression level, ensuring:

• Consistent transductions across different cell lines
• Reliable comparison between different virus preparations
