Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, no cross-reactivity with recombinant human IL-9R, recombinant mouse IL-4R, rhIL-5Rα, rhIL-5Rβ, rhIL-13Rα1, or rhIL-13Rα2 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of antibody (LAL method).
Target Information
IL4 Receptor alpha (IL4RA) is the alpha chain of the interleukin 4 receptor, binding both interleukin 4 and interleukin 13 to regulate IgE production, chemokine, and mucus production at allergic inflammation sites.
The IL4 response promotes Th2 differentiation. The secreted extracellular domain (sIL4R alpha) inhibits IL4-mediated cell proliferation and IL5 upregulation by T-cells and lacks signaling ability.
Allelic variations in IL4RA are associated with atopy, manifesting as allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, asthma, or eczema.
