Protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A)는 세포 성장과 분열의 음성 조절에 관여하는 주요 Ser/Thr phosphatase 중 하나입니다. PP2A holoenzyme은 구조적 서브유닛 A, 촉매 서브유닛 C, 조절 서브유닛 B로 구성된 삼합체 단백질입니다. 조절 서브유닛은 B/PR55, B'/PR61, B''/PR72 계열로 구분되는 다양한 유전자로 암호화되며, 각기 다른 효소 특이성과 세포 내 위치를 부여합니다. PPP2R4 유전자는 B' 계열에 속하며, PP2A의 이합체 형태에서 phosphotyrosyl phosphatase 활성화를 담당합니다. 대체 스플라이싱으로 다양한 isoform을 생성합니다.
