Product Specific Information

• Preparation: Produced from sera of goats immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human EMAP-II. Anti-Human EMAP-II-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.
• Sandwich ELISA: For detection of hEMAP-II using 100 µL/well, use 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody. In conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human EMAP-II (500-P172G) as capture antibody, enables detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hEMAP-II.
• Western Blot: For detection of hEMAP-II, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. Detection limit for Recombinant hEMAP-II is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.
• Packaging: 500-P172GBT-1MG will be provided as 2 × 500 µg.

Target Information

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine specifically induced by apoptosis, involved in the regulation of angiogenesis, inflammation, and wound healing. Its release sensitizes tumor-associated vasculature to tumor necrosis factor. The precursor protein is identical to the p43 subunit of the multi-tRNA synthetase complex and modulates aminoacylation activity in normal cells. It also stimulates inflammatory responses after proteolytic cleavage in tumor cells. Multiple transcript variants exist, and a pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 20.
