이 단백질은 Fas receptor, FADD, caspase 8을 포함하는 사멸 유도 신호 복합체의 구성 요소로 작용하며, Fas 매개 apoptosis 조절에 관여할 수 있습니다.
대체 스플라이싱으로 동일 단백질을 인코딩하는 다수의 전사 변형체가 생성됩니다.
