Target Information
BACE2 (Beta Secretase 2)는 amyloid precursor protein (APP)의 단백질 분해를 담당합니다.
BACE2는 APP를 690–691 잔기 사이에서 절단하여 베타 절단된 용해성 APP를 생성 및 분비하게 합니다. 또한 671–672 잔기 사이에서도 절단이 가능합니다. APP의 축적은 알츠하이머병 및 다운증후군 성인 환자에서 흔히 관찰되는 병리적 특징입니다.
