Target Information
Aipl1은 Leber congenital amaurosis (LCA)와 관련된 단백질로, 광수용체의 비정상적 발달로 인한 상염색체 열성 질환에서 발견됩니다. 이 단백질은 tetratricopeptide repeat 단백질로 ARA9과 높은 상동성을 가지며, HSP90 매개 핵 이동 및 aryl hydrocarbon receptor의 전사 활성화에 관여합니다. 또한 Hsp90 및 Hsp70과 상호작용하는 샤페론 복합체의 일부로 기능하며, 세포 주기 조절 단백질 NUB1과도 연관됩니다. Aipl1은 Hsp70과 협력하여 NUB1 응집체 형성을 억제하며, 이러한 상호작용은 정상적인 광수용체 성숙에 필수적입니다. 변이는 LCA를 유발하며, Hsp 샤페론과의 결합을 손상시킵니다. 최소 세 가지 isoform이 존재합니다.
