Target Information

RRAGC (Ras-related GTP-binding protein C) is a monomeric guanine nucleotide-binding protein that plays a crucial role in the cellular response to amino acid availability through regulation of the mTORC1 signaling cascade.
It forms a heterodimer with RRAGA and RRAGB and is primarily localized to the cytoplasm. RRAGC cycles between inactive GTP-bound and active GDP-bound forms. In its active form, RRAGC participates in the re-localization of mTORC1 to lysosomes and its subsequent activation by the GTPase RHEB, a key step in amino acid–induced TOR signaling activation.
