ASCC2는 DNA 손상 복구 과정에서 ASCC 복합체의 구성요소로 작용합니다. Lys-63 연결 폴리유비퀴틴 사슬을 가진 폴리유비퀴틴화 단백질에 결합하여 ASCC3 및 ALKBH3를 손상 부위로 모집합니다 (PubMed:29144457). 또한 NF-kappa-B, SRF, AP1 전사활성화를 촉진하는 ASC-1 복합체의 일부로 작용합니다 (PubMed:12077347). [UniProt]
