Product Specific Information

The eBioMWReg30 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD41 (fibrinogen receptor, gpIIb, integrin alpha IIb). CD41 is expressed on platelets, megakaryocytes, and hematopoietic progenitors. It associates with CD61 to form a receptor critical for platelet adhesion and aggregation.

CD41 expression is used in conjunction with SLAM-family markers (CD48, CD150) to identify hematopoietic stem cells (HSC). The CD150+CD48-CD41- phenotype efficiently identifies long-term reconstituting HSCs.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Flow cytometric analysis of stimulated mouse platelets at ≤ 1 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimize titration empirically for best results.

Fluorochrome Information:
Super Bright 645 is a tandem dye excited by a 405 nm violet laser and emits at 645 nm. Recommended detection filter: 660/20 bandpass. Protect from light due to photo-oxidation sensitivity.

Staining Recommendations:
When using multiple Super Bright dyes, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Fixation Compatibility:
Samples can be stored up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark using IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-57) with minimal brightness loss.

Target Information

CD41 (platelet glycoprotein IIb, ITGA2B) consists of alpha (120 kDa) and beta (23 kDa) subunits forming a receptor with CD61. It mediates platelet aggregation and adhesion to proteins such as von Willebrand factor, fibrinogen, fibronectin, and vitronectin. CD41 is expressed in megakaryocyte-platelet lineage and during early hematopoietic differentiation.
Associated diseases include Glanzmann Thrombasthenia and Platelet-type 16 bleeding disorder.
