Target Information
GRP78은 HSP70 계열의 78 kDa glucose regulated protein으로, 소포체(ER)의 주요 단백질입니다.
새로 합성된 분비 및 막 단백질과 일시적으로 결합하며, 변성 단백질을 인식해 분해를 유도합니다.
C-말단의 KDEL 서열은 ER 내 단백질의 회수를 담당합니다.
GRP78은 단백질 접힘 조절 및 세포 항상성 유지에 필수적이며, 세포사멸 억제에 관여합니다.
또한 GRP78은 저혈당, 산화 스트레스 등에서 신경 보호 역할을 하며, 알츠하이머병 환자에서 발현이 감소된 것으로 보고되었습니다.
GRP78의 발현 유도는 항암제 내성과도 관련이 있습니다.
