For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform another round of desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

BID is a death agonist that heterodimerizes with either agonist BAX or antagonist BCL2. It is a member of the BCL-2 family of cell death regulators and mediates mitochondrial damage induced by caspase-8 (CASP8).
CASP8 cleaves BID, and the COOH-terminal part translocates to mitochondria, triggering cytochrome c release.
BID usually exists in an inactive cytosolic form and becomes cleaved by caspase 8 in response to TNF alpha or Fas ligand.
Once cleaved, the C-terminal 15 kDa fragment (p15) translocates to mitochondria and induces apoptosis, linking caspase 8 activation to mitochondrial death machinery.
