For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

BID (BH3-interacting domain death agonist) is a pro-apoptotic member of the BCL-2 family. It heterodimerizes with BAX or BCL2 and mediates mitochondrial damage induced by caspase-8 (CASP8).
Upon activation by CASP8 cleavage, the C-terminal fragment (p15) translocates to mitochondria, triggering cytochrome c release and apoptosis.
BID acts as a molecular link between caspase-8 activation and mitochondrial death machinery.
